The Nuts + Bolts:
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Professional Bachelors of Architecture (BARCH) graduated 2021, magna cum laude.
University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Masters in Urban Design (MUD) expected graduation 2022.
I have been passionate about writing and design since childhood, and have recently discovered new avenues to explore both interests in relation to myself and other communities.
I have found a natural passion for urbanism, focusing academic research on the intersection of social infrastructure and inclusive space. I have explored related topics in both critical essays and urban proposals, investigating new modes of designing against infrastructural inequalities that disproportionately affect minorities.
I believe that tackling the biggest problems leads to the biggest change, and, through rigorous experimentation and diverse approaches, our cities and communities can mine designs of beauty and justice. My academic projects focus on radicalizing inclusion through adaptation, investigating urban patterns, and creating space for the inhabitants of the future through socially experimental designs.
You can find out more about my work and education in my architectural portfolio here.
Speaking of...
X CONTINUUM
A museum of science fiction in downtown Albany that uses surface as a canvas for digital augmentation in the transition from physical to virtual. With projection, inverted circulation, and digitalscapes, sci-fi has never been so close to home.
SOCIAL ARTIST, SOCIAL HOUSE
A consideration of the housing unit as an art frame, where public/private relations are seen through the everyday performances of life. Each artist designs their own unit, and a shared kitchen becomes a social stage—their life as much art as the things they create.
INCLUSIVE INFRASTRUCTURES
An urban investigation on what segregates our cities, and an exploration of possible solutions relating to recent Colombian interventions through redefining, reenergizing, and representing social fabrics.
